About Me

"Making things" is what I have loved doing from a very young age. Along the way there have been many side trips and one of the most influential was my years of training in book illustration. That experience instilled in me a love of character development and story telling. So now, when I work with clay, I look for ways to tell little everyday stories on everyday objects. I like the idea that the mug we choose for our morning coffee offers a bit of narrative, a bit of intrigue, perhaps a bit of beauty and an echo of the hands that made the object. And, it is just really fun to draw and paint on clay!

I work in a studio in Kingston, Ontario, where I am blessed to be able to draw, paint, sculpt and make functional ceramics.
